I’ve been excited for weeks and now they’re heeeere! I came home from lunch with my grandma yesterday to FIVE adorable baby kittens romping all over my cat, Farfa. All I can do is stare at them all day and take pictures. I’m obsessed… NO, I’m in love.
Literally days before we were going to get this Mamacita “fixed”, she comes home from her naughty escape outside with pink nipples galore, and we knew right away we’d have to cancel that appointment, suck it up, and accept that we would, of course, have to keep one. I have a feeling this is going to be one of the most heartbreaking times of my life. I get 10-12 weeks with the cuties – just long enough for me to forge a deeply emotional connection and give pet names to each and every single one and then watch, one-by-one, as friends and friends-of-friends come by to take them away.
But before all of that, I’m going to have to pick ONE lucky kitty to stay with his mom. It’s clear that Max and I will be at odds on this one, even though he says I get to pick “my” kitty. We’ve at least agreed that we’d like to have a boy cat since we already have Farfa… but there are 3 boys! Two of them are black, like their father, Fernando, and one looks a lot like Farfa. Max thinks it would be good to have a black one because he thinks Farfa is a common-looking cat and he doesn’t want two of the same, but I think her look-a-like son is the special one.
We’ll see how our relationships develop over time, and yes, I’ll definitely be taking more pictures as they grow. Hope you can handle the cuteness!
